When do pete and addison get together

Their first kiss even deliberately lacked chemistry. To be fair, though, it seemed that their relationship was doomed from the very start. Addison was reluctant to date Sam, as he was her best friend's ex-husband. However, they went ahead anyway, severely hurting Naomi in the process. Sam and Addison were just too different; Addison wanted kids, whereas Sam just wanted Addison, on her own. Yes, their break up during Season 3 of Private Practice was by no means pretty and really painted Cooper in an uncharacteristically cruel and sadistic light , but apart from that, their relationship throughout the series was nothing short of inspirational.

The way they met too, was just so unexpected, it was almost iconic. However, after acting as friends with benefits for a while, the two realized that they actually loved each other. They got married, took in Cooper's son, and even had triplets in the final season. At first, Pete and Violet appeared to be a great match for each other. Pete helped to curb Violet's overactive tendencies, and in return, Violet helped Pete to become gradually less cynical and angry.

Unfortunately, Pete then had a heart attack in the Season 4 finale. Although he survived, this near-death experience was essentially the death toll for their relationship. Throughout Season 5, they constantly argued with each other, and there was never a nice moment between them.

Their animosity remained unresolved after Pete died offscreen. Ben Pettitt is a recent English graduate of the University of Nottingham. He loves to write, read and watch Netflix. Fortunately, Cooper came by to hang out and discovered him on the floor. He started CPR and called Pete was taken to St. Ambrose, where Sam and Amelia saved his life. Violet came home as soon as she found out and later became the object of Pete's post-heart attack frustration. After Pete's heart attack, their relationship was strained and uncomfortable. Once Pete was cleared for all physical activity, they slept together, however they both confided in others saying it was awkward and not as good as it used to be.

While Pete was grieving his attack, he said passive aggressive comments to Violet, and treated her poorly, however Violet dismissed it because the psychiatrist in her said it was just the grief talking. During Amelia's intervention, she verbally attacked both of them saying to Violet that Pete didn't want her anymore and she was just an aging old woman, and told Pete that saving his life after the brain bleed following the heart attack, may not have been worth it, and "God's angels should have just taken him then".

Both Pete and Violet escaped into the kitchen where they laughed hysterically at the things Amelia said to them, and it felt like the old them. However time past and things were still strained and not normal. Violet and Addison had grown closer as Addison was trying to get pregnant and Violet was helping her, and while they were talking one day, Violet realized something.

She found Pete in his office and started talking. She said that she didn't want to be like Anna, Pete's previous wife until her death. She didn't want Pete to feel obligated to stay with her even though he was miserable. But she also knew that Pete didn't have it in him to leave. So she said that if Pete didn't want their marriage to continue, she would leave him , so he wouldn't have to feel guilty, and they would figure out a way to share Lucas.

She told Pete to think about that, and left his office. Later, while they were sitting at their table, Violet asked if Pete had thought about what she said.

He responded saying, "I'm sorry Violet. Violet's reaction was unclear but she said that they should keep things as normal as possible for Lucas, and they should still go to Addison's thanksgiving dinner together, for Lucas. She then picked up her bag, and walked out of the house. Pete had had a heart attack previously. He also got in trouble with the law because he illegally took a man who wanted to die off of life support.

He was resistant to agree with the court so he was held until he cooperated. Violet talked Pete into cooperating with the court and he got out and had to go to a preliminary court hearing. On the day of the hearing, Pete went for a run and texted Violet, "I went for a run.

No matter what happens, I will always love you. Violet got a call later from his phone. It was a police officer telling her something had happened to the owner of the phone and asking if she could come and identify him. It turned out that Pete had had a second heart attack and died on the side of the path and was lying there all day until someone found him.

Pete could be cold at times but had a loving heart. He was loyal to his wives even though he hated them at some point. During Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery's first visit to Oceanside Wellness, Pete and Addison established a teasing and often flirtatious relationship.

Although Pete was immediately attracted to her, he promised their mutual friend, Dr. Sam Bennett, that he would stay away from Addison. According to Sam, Pete is a serial monogamist, unable to emotionally connect with any woman since the death of his wife.

In response, Oceanside Wellness instituted a strict "no consorting" rule. Later, they got together again, after Violet left Pete and Lucas behind. They raised Lucas together for a while.

They split up after Violet's return. Pete's relationship with his wife is somewhat mysterious and he appears reluctant to discuss their marriage.
